The 2nd Rebana Expo: Asia-Pacific Metropolitan Planning Caucus 2024

The Rebana Metropolitan Management Agency (RMMA), in collaboration with the Indonesian Association of Urban and Regional Planning (IAP) and Cities Lab Indonesia, is proud to host The 2nd Rebana Expo 2024: Asia-Pacific Metropolitan Planning Caucus. Under the theme “Beyond Metropolis: Enhancing Livability in Urban Agglomeration Management,” this conference brings together more than 100 urban planning practitioners from 15 countries and 34 Indonesian Provinces to address these pressing issues. The conference focus to forge strategies leveraging from the economic potential of urbanizing regions while steadfastly upholding the principles of sustainability and livability. To strengthen the capacity and strategic aspects of metropolitan management, this event has developed the Linggarjati White Paper on Metropolitan Development, outlining recommendations and strategies for sustainable metropolitan governance. As part of its development, four thematic discussion studios were formed. These studios identified and explored 10 core issues and challenges in metropolitan development and resulted in 15 strategic recommendations to address them.
