The Geospatial Challenge is a competition that utilizes thematic maps integrated under the One Map Policy to support various aspects of national development policies and programs. The themes covered include: (1) Urban Areas as Centers of Economic Growth, (2) Energy, Water, and Food Security, (3) Quality Environment, and (4) Resilience to Disasters and Climate Change.

This competition was initiated by the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs in collaboration with the Indonesian Association of Urban and Regional Planners (IAP) and ISI, with Citieslab serving as a co-organizer. The competition featured eight selected finalists with the best proposals from Universitas Gadjah Mada, Universitas Indonesia, and Universitas Diponegoro. The challenge was conducted within a limited time frame of 3.5 hours and concluded with final presentations delivered before a panel of judges and an audience.
